Blogging...Social Media...& My Favorite Printed Pants

I've come to the total realization that I truly enjoy blogging. Really...I thought about it; I don't gripe about blogging; no complaints & don't feel like it's a chore. This is a job that I'm content with.

I could probably blog 2-3 times a day -- if I had the time. Yes, I have that much to share :)

I love sharing photos of myself; my family...I love sharing my thoughts; opinions...

What you see is what you get.

And I don't even stop at just blogging. I'm on Twitter; Tumblr; Facebook; Google+; Chictopia; Pinterest; Instagram; Fabsugar; YouTube and Bloglovin (click on buttons on left-hand side of screen)! I may not be as vocal on some these outlets or as consistent, but I do put in the time to share my world at these places too.

I've been asked how do you manage the time...it's easy with me. Blogging is something I love to do; I manage to blog when I have spare time, which is usually at night. I never blog from work; not appropriate, however, at lunch, I'll get on my iPhone and Instagram, Tweet, Facebook....or whatever.

It's all about how I manage my time...

The weekends are pretty much my days off from everything. But, I make sure I fill you guys in on what's going on, even if it's a quick post.

I try to remain consistent when it comes to my blog. As for all the other social media outlets...I get to them when I can.

Once again, I do appreciate you guys & thank you so much for even taking the time out to read my blog :)

Now, for the favorite printed pants....Yes, I've worn them again...

I love these pants...and you should see the looks I get at wooorrrk. It's hilarious!

Seriously, these are the most comfortable pants ever! I always feel like I'm in my PJs when I wear them.

Oh the controversy...the meanness...

I actually enjoyed Madonna's halftime performance. There were so many people saying bad things about her; her performance (that it was boring)...So what she lip synced! She still gave a performance.

Dang people! The woman is 53! I would be so lucky if I'm able to still do cartwheels and drop it like it's hot at that age. I know women that haven't even reached 50 yet & if they move the wrong way dancing or whatever; you'll hear them say they threw their back out or something. Just sayin'...

Oh! I did see MIA put up the middle finger, but didn't know it was such an issue until this morning watching the news and hearing about it on the radio stations. Wow!

I still love MIA!

I loved all of Madonna's guest appearances (especially LMFAO).

Just Another Casual Saturday...

I've been out all day. It was one of those Saturdays that I had way too much to do; from taking my daughter to her casting call...grocery shopping...post office...and everything else under the sun.

But let me tell you...it's all over, and I really appreciate home.

I recently discovered Mimi's blog; Mimi G., and I'm so happy that I did because it's awesome!

Her blog is, in her words, 'A Sewing Blog'. Let me tell you, she's another talented individual who can sew her butt off!

Each photo I've posted shows the creations of Mimi. I was so amazed because her pieces look as though she purchased them at a store.

Take this skirt above...the detailing is impeccable. I think I have a skirt similar, however, I paid some money for mine.

What I'm Proud Of....

My daughter.

She's accomplished so much in her 17 years. She's beautiful, intelligent, and a go-getter.

She made it in her very 1st catalog, she's been on the catwalk a few times (living her dream), and she's only just begun.

Considering school/grades are a big topic in the house...I can honestly say that she's doing very well.

I'm proud of my mom. All my life, I've known her to be a strong, confident, and independent woman.

I've seen her struggle; which made her stronger.

Now a retired woman; living the life! She enjoys doing home improvements, interior decorating (she's really good at it), and watching the Lifetime channel...lol

Love this woman!

Then there's Levi...he hardly does anything I ask him to do, outside of using the bathroom outdoors.

But I'm proud of him for it. House training is an accomplishment!

Of course...I'm proud of myself.

I've also accomplished a lot over the years.

I think that one of my most proudest moments was receiving my Masters in Business Management.

There were those individuals out there who believed that once I gave birth to my daughter, I wasn't going back to school.

Doubters...

I'm proud that I volunteer my time to help those in need.

Just recently, instead of taking the day off on Martin Luther King Day, I helped

the Delta Sigmas clean up the roads in our community for their Adopt-a-Road program.

I must say...it was so much fun.

Even though we look cold, this picture was after we finished, and we were pretty warmed up.

It was definitely colder earlier in the morning.

Me and a couple of the girls who helped out. I actually work with them both.

I'm also proud of myself because...

I know and am friends with a diverse range of people and this diversity enriches me and makes me

a better person every day of my life.

On the Brighter Side of Things

Over the weekend, I did a mini photo shoot of my daughter & let me tell you, we had the most fun on this one. We chose a nice secluded area close to home, however, every once in awhile a stray person would drive up to be nosey.

Here are some of the photos taken...I'm sure she will put up the rest on her blog soon.

I tried to get her to smile but ... it just became too silly! lol

After I was finished taking her photos, she decided to take mine too.

With the sun glaring & my dress...these photos just seem so bright.

And no, we didn't get dressed up to take photos...well the girl did; anyway, we were actually coming back from a nice gathering.

Personal Mission Statement...

In one of my classes in college, we had to write our own Personal Mission Statement. At that time, it was rather difficult to do. I'm not sure if it was the age (I really didn't care to or didn't have a clue); sometimes at a certain age in life, you're really not thinking about a Personal Mission Statement.

However, recently, I decided to give it another try. With the help of Franklin Covey. The template provided is a great start in helping you investigate who you really are as an individual. After completing mine, this is what it generated:

"I am at my best when there's less on my plate. When I get adequate sleep and exercise. When I'm focused; more productive, and use my time wisely. When I eat well...

I will try to prevent times when I do too much.

I will enjoy my work by continuing to help guide others and helping them reach their goals.

I will find enjoyment in my personal life through maintaining my creativity. Making sure I find time for me. Exploring, traveling and enjoying my time with family.

I will find opportunities to use my natural talents and gifts such as inspiring; being a good friend. Being a good mother. Writing. Showing my creativity; organization. Naturally being me.

I can do anything I set my mind to. I will travel the world. I will help those in need.

My life's journey is unfolding as it should.

I will be a person who is known as that crazy, strong, outgoing and fearless individual out to pursue her goals.

My most important future contribution to others will be to show that I'm a parent first. Hoping to create something solid and meaningful that my daughter will benefit from.

I will stop procrastinating and start working on:

Learning how to say the word 'NO' more often.

I will strive to incorporate the following attributes into my life:

Let go of all the clutter. Take more time for self; read more; allow myself more 'Me' time. Lay off the technical background noise for a while.

Let go! Remind myself that whatever happened in the past is the past and focus on the future."

This was a great start. However, I'm working on making it a bit shorter...simpler. When I complete this, I'm going to print it out; frame it and hang it on my wall in my bedroom.

Keep in mind that your Mission Statement doesn't have to be a book, a paragraph, or even an essay. It can be a sentence; a few words. This site has a few examples for you to look at, as does this one.

A Personal Mission Statement is a good way to start your year off. So hopefully you'll try to write yours as well!

Every time someone sees a photo of me with the trees in the background, they always wonder if I've chosen the forest or woods to take the picture. And, my answer is usually that I'm somewhere on Earth :)

This wooded area surrounds my neighborhood. It may look as though I'm in the woods, but I'm not.

If you look closely, you'll see that the trees thin out. The county had to cut some of the trees down. We had all kind of wild life around us. At times, I do like the background. I prefer a more urban environment to take photos. I'll be in the city soon.

My Bag is Color-blocking!

An outfit I wore yesterday...it was still rainy & then the fog came. But...I got a chance to use my new tote! It's Old Navy. When I laid eyes on it, I knew I had to get it. Even though I told myself that I wasn't purchasing ANYTHING. I'm suppose to be saving for a trip this year.

Anyway, I really haven't had much to write considering I've been a little ill. As soon as I'm fully revived, I'll be back. Even my outfits say I'm not feeling well. However, as I've said before, I'm giving you all me...what I wear on a daily basis and not just photos of a special occasion or something.

On that note...I'm going to go check out your blogs! I'm still playing catch up.

Today's Casual Uniform

Considering the girl was sick yesterday....I don't have much to tell any of you. It was good staying in; enjoying movies and just relaxing all day--well most of all day. Let's see...my day started off busy on Saturday. I had to get up early and take care of some minor errands, take the girl to Cinderella's Closet to pick up her dress for her in-store modeling assignment at Aveda in The Mall of Georgia, then take her to the mall. The whole time there, she was ill. We went home 30 minutes after she started working her assignment.

So my Saturday afternoon turned out be a relaxing one. The girl slept all day.

Today, she was feeling much better, so we decided to go to the movies. Red Tails was sold out; we saw Underworld Awakening instead. It was the best one (to me) out of all of them. I can't wait to see the next one...at least that's what I'm hoping ;-)

No cooking for me today either. I ordered Chinese and called it a night. Now I'm just catching up on my blogging. I've missed so much!

I just received 50 free MOO cards and all I did was sign up on About.me .

About.me is a site which allows you to create your personal profile in which other users are only a click away from any other content (social media sites) you have around the Web. A friend of mine told me about this site & how she got some MOO cards for free. Now you're only able to add one photo & you have to pay for shipping, but it was totally worth it to me.

Here is my personal profile page on about.me. It was fairly easy to set up and they provide you with pre-made backgrounds or you can add your own.

As you can see--I've added my Twitter account, Google+, Tumblr, Blogger, Instagram, and YouTube (nothing added on YouTube yet). I actually just added my Pinterest account as well.

It's pretty cool!

Add a Little Color

Not sure what I was looking for; or even why my daughter decided to take the photo, but the color of my sweater is so vibrant.

I've said numerous times in the past that I want to add more color into my wardrobe. It's still a work in progress...however, I think I've improved in this area a lot.

Ambivert not Introvert...That's Me!

Correction on this post. After some research and thought, I've come to the conclusion that I'm an ambivert. An ambivert is a little bit of an introvert & an extrovert. This suits my personality well.

Same Sweater, Different Color

The sweater I'm wearing is the same sweater I wore here, just a different color. I remember when all of the colors were sold out; due to Old Navy's grand sale they had, but someone was listening to me as I vented about them selling out, and gifted me this cream colored one. *smiles*

It was perfect to wear today. The temps were in the low 60s; I didn't want to wear a coat -- just perfect.

And the booties I'm wearing (also from Old Navy) were actually pretty comfy. I was afraid that after 4-5 hours of wearing them; they would eventually be torturing my feet. Not so...they're actually comfortable. I will definitely be pairing them with more outfits now that I know they won't cause permanent injury.

The pants are chocolate brown rider type pants. You aren't able to see them (the detailing) that well; the lighting wasn't so great I guess. I remember getting them for $7 at the Loft (clearance of course).

**side note** Have any of you tried Trader Joes chocolate lava cakes? OMG!! I'm happy Trader Joes is miles from me...those tiny cakes could cause trouble.

Ok, on that note, I need to go do some cardio.

Black and Purple

Today was my first day back to work after the holiday.

Let me tell you it sucked!

Again...let me reiterate...I am blessed to have employment but I really wish I could retire right now.

My outfit was perfect for the kind of day I had--BUSY. It wasn't too fussy, and I felt comfortable; able to move around.

It was ... Basic, Simple. And yes, the sweater I'm wearing is a sweater I purchased from Old Navy's grand sale they had. I own nothing purple, so the color was definitely a change from the usual.

Lazy Spaghetti...

I have these days (mainly weekdays) when I do not feel like cooking. I mean with a full time job, going to school, being mom, and a pet owner...it's tiresome.

Even though today I was off work, I still didn't feel like cooking. So what did I make? What I call my lazy spaghetti. It's quick and easy. Normally I make my own sauce (homemade); also there are times when I make my own pasta. Not this time!

A Relaxing Weekday...

I had the day off work today. So what did I do? Nothing. I just relaxed, had hot chocolate and watched, of course, the marathon of Law and Order SVU.

Ok, I don't have the blues by any means...my new year is starting off great! However this was suppose to be a video; I just wasn't pleased with the final product. I'm working on it.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful new year so far. I see only bigger and better things coming my way (and my family). Honestly, I didn't make any resolutions...I never do. I feel like why make them in the beginning of a new year...if you're going to do something (just like Nike), just do it. But that's just me.

The outfit worn was just me having fun with denim and the different colors of blue. Not dressy...not too drab...perfect for my minimal errand runs today.

End of a great year!

What a wonderful year!

So much has happened in this year; good and bad, but I got thru it all.

I've gained new friends (my lovely followers); as well as those outside of the Internet.

Attended some wonderful events--like the Fall 2011 Swapnista Day Party. And so many more...

On a personal note, my family has been extended. My younger cousin welcomed twin boys in April of this year.

Most importantly, I've learned to shop less this year...believe it or not. Shopping my closet has been quite interesting. The things I've purchased over the years and forgetting about them has been a real eye opener for me. Saving MORE money will be a resolution for 2012 (and I usually steer clear of making resolutions).

The Trench...

The trench...an article of clothing manufactured for military use; as they were ideal for unrelenting weather conditions. The coat was created to keep officers warm and dry.

The coat was in such a high demand, that not only was it manufactured for military use, it was also made available for non-military use.

It's truly a classic and timeless piece. It's also stylish and totally functional.

I love wearing any of my trenches; choosing from my short trenches to my double or single breasted ones; my olive green to my classic beige. It's a perfect asset to any wardrobe.

From time to time, I'll come across a blog and the author will state that they didn't post an outfit because it wasn't deemed worthy. Yet, you wore it out?

I'm confused.

Now, I may not wear any Chanel, or have every single Jeffrey Campbell shoe there is, but I do find my outfits to be stylish in some sense or another. Otherwise, I wouldn't wear the clothing outside of my house.

There are times when I know that I may walk out looking like plain Jane...but that's just me. Remember I go for pieces that keep me comfy, yet stylish. I don't care if it's a pair of distressed jeans and Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. I chose to wear it, I thought it was cute, therefore I'm posting it.

It's My Taste...you should be able to wear what you want--what you like.

It is different when someone is starting a blog in hopes to obtain help from others -- trying to change up their style...or update their style in some form or fashion. We all do that in some kind of way.

I will admit -- I do get inspiration from a lot of wonderful bloggers out there. But, I still remain true to who I am. I'm trying to show you guys who I am. I don't dress up everyday, I don't even wear heels everyday (oh wait...maybe I do; every other day). What I'm saying is that I'm not trying to impress anyone. I challenge myself everyday; and yet there are most days that I don't even feel like dressing.

Even on those days...I post. Take today for instance...

Now off to calm my daughter. She's watching basketball and I swear she is going to have a heart attack.

The sun came out; it was beautiful outside; great for a fur vest & sweater tunic.

I actually purchased this reversible vest from Old Navy years ago. I don't exactly remember when, but it was a while ago.

I wish it were longer though.

My outfit was perfect for last minute errands & taking my poor Levi to the Vet. He's okay...just a UTI. Little antibiotics & he'll be as good as new!

Last Minute Stripes

Since my daughter has been out of school for her holiday vacation, I've been waking up--every morning--late. Yes...I set my alarm clock, but they shouldn't make those 'snooze' buttons on them.

So my outfits have been totally looking last minute. I didn't even take a photo of my outfit from Monday because I had so much to do after work.

Here's my outfit today--it doesn't help that the weather is all gloomy & rainy.

sweater & skirt: H&M / leather jacket: gifted to my daughter but she can't fit it any longer (arms are E.T.) / booties: Shoeland / necklace: WalMart / bag: Target / rings: ??

I managed to get these shots in right before the rain started again.

I woke up at 6:45 AM (have to be at work by 7:30 AM), not knowing what I was going to wear, and found this skirt. Sooooo, I didn't feel like searching for a nice blouse or a top period. However, I reached into my dresser and pulled out a plain ole black sweater. It worked for me...*shrugs shoulders*

I didn't want to be totally drab so I added the necklace & the rings.

I'm not feelin' it this week. It's dreary...and I just want to stay in bed in my PJ's with some hot chocolate (preferably the salted caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks), and finish reading my book.

That's all I want to do.

Thursday can't get here soon enough! I ready for my vacation!

I was content; no worries...no stress. After dropping my daughter off at work, I needed to take care of some last minute holiday errands. Let's just say, I didn't complete my mission. I'm not very happy, but I don't have a photo to show you my annoyed look.

It's CRAZY out there! Traffic is a nightmare, and people are just plain rude. The holidays are supposed to bring joy and happiness...these people out there...they have no manners, and are ruthless. Okaaaay!

So, I'm back at home. I'm going to see what's on TV and chill until it's time for me to go get the girl.

Oh! Almost forgot. The company I work for had a holiday party and here are just a couple of photos.

It was one of those days that I wished I could have stayed in my bed all day. Next best thing was to wear one of my coziest sweaters from Old Navy. I love this sweater! It has become my 'go-to' cozy piece. And I just wanted to wear it with a maxi. I've seen this style on other blogs before & decided to give it a try. I thought it worked.

Also, you can't really see my hair...but I put my hair in a bun & I was really proud of it. I used an old sock to create the donut piece. Very simple. I got the idea from Syl and Sam's blog.

Red Clutch & Snakeskin

I love this clutch from Forever21! It came in brown & red only, and, of course, I had to get them both.

As for the shoes....

I got them for a steal at Charlotte Russe. They were like 30% off.

And....I paired these accessories with the dress I purchased from H&M a while back.

The necklace I've worn a million times -- it's from Charming Charlie. I believe they no longer sell it.

The sunglasses are from Forever21.

Our weather was beautiful out today. I didn't even need a jacket to be honest with you. This morning I did because it was like 40 out but by the afternoon, it was gorgeous out. Looking forward to tomorrow's nice day as well.

Atlanta for the Holidays...Date Guide

I don't know about you, but I always hear my friends talk about how there's nothing to do in the fall with their boyfriends or husbands here in Atlanta.

There's so much to do...here, let me share with you.

Centennial Olympic Park Holiday and Lights - enjoy 21 acres of beautiful lights in Atlanta's own Centennial Park.

How about some ice skating while you're at Centennial.

Going to see the Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker at the Fox Theatre. This is an Atlanta tradition; done for 50 years.

I feel as though....just because colder temps are approaching, it doesn't mean that you cannot wear shorts. But isn't it funny--I never wore shorts in the summer, but I'm wearing them in the fall??

*Back on track* And how did I wear my shorts? With tights and a sweater of course.

You know what was funny about it all? I was asked if I were cold by numerous people today at work. I believe it's a sort of mindset some have. You see shorts--that's summer wear only. Not true! I wasn't bare legged. Think about it...it's no different from wearing a skirt with tights.

So what do I say about wearing shorts in the fall? Go for it!

Yesterday it was still drizzling & it was very cold. I actually had to pull out the turtleneck. So the pics you see are from Tuesday.

With the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday....it's just been one crazy holiday weekend. I know I say crazy--it was fun--but hectic at the same time. I'm so glad things have slowed a bit. Now I can get back to my reading, blogging, & catch up on some TV shows as well.

As far as my outfits? You know me...I keep it simple and casual. I did go out one night but did not take a pic of that outfit--bad me...

I wore the outfit above (and below) today. More errands & shopping had to be done. Again, I just didn't feel like wearing sneakers. I did pick up these really cute Material Girl Mariner Flats from Macy's. They were actually 30% off so I got a better deal than what's shown on their site. I love them! They're comfy (which is what I love) and they're cute! These will definitely be worn in place of sneakers on many occasions.

Well...I probably won't have much to show you tomorrow. I plan on staying indoors and just relax. But you never know!

Busy Saturday Only...

Let me just tell you-- I totally enjoyed my Sunday. Nothing but relaxation... and I didn't even have to cook.

But, my Saturday was a different story. I had tons of errands to run during the day (including the Old Navy run) and by night I was having loads of fun at my girl's birthday party.

And what did I wear?

The party was awesome! There was lots of food, and laughter.

I brought my daughter with me, and because she didn't want to be the only teen at the house, she brought two of her friends along (one we didn't take a pic of). They were busy having fun playing the Just Dance game on Wii.

My friend Lori's 2 daughters...dancing right along. Aren't they just adorable?

The grown-ups were upstairs...here are just a few of us.

The Blame Game...

We blame people for a lot of things don't we? Sometimes even on a daily basis. We blame people for doing things, or not doing things...for thinking all of the time, or for not thinking at all.

What people don't realize is that when you blame someone for something, you are taking away any acceptance of them as a person.

Ok, here's my opinion...

We all have these irrational thoughts, in which we're caught up in anger and neurotic behavior. But you have to think about this...erroneous beliefs are beliefs and defenses we build up and replay with anger so that we don't have to know the truth about ourselves.

Here's something else, irrational thoughts are crazy!! And they keep us in victim mode and cause us to avoid responsibility for our OWN actions.

You want to know how you can achieve some form of happiness in life? Well--break into your negative thinking for starters. Stop assuming and running with it. There may be other reasons why things happen.

Those who project blame/accusations often feel a hidden stigma and shame as possessing a disgraceful personality trait so they 'project' or transfer anger on others to distract themselves from knowing the truth about themselves.

And how do you know if you're projecting your anger on others? Judgments and anger about others' behavior are projection.

Blaming others...for some people, the 1st reaction to a problem is to find someone to blame. Blaming is a defense mechanism to avoid taking personal responsibility for the situation.

I believe that the people who always do the blaming, never get the sense of satisfaction of growth. And, by refusing to see their own errors, they remain STUCK.

You wonder why I've written this post? Because I am being blamed for something I didn't do. And I don't appreciate it. It also hurts considering where it's coming from; someone very close. However, I know that the accuser will never see any wrong doing behind their thoughts.

It's a lost cause...how sad.

My Weekend....

Was not all fun and games. I had tons of errands to run, and also my daughter and I decided to upgrade our phones. Best Buy was the place to go! And that had taken about an hour and a half to do. Again, no movies...

I even redecorated my bedroom. It was a project in motion already, I just finished it up Saturday.

So, to make sure I was comfy, yet not a total fashion disaster while running errands, I wore this...

My daughter has befriended a stray kitty and it won't go away. I think it sort of thinks our home is its home.

Seriously, why do people think that a woman is 'beautiful' only if she's 5'10, and a size 3/4? I know that we're all obsessed with our appearance than we'd like to admit. And I've heard others say that attractive people have distinct advantages in our society (a whole other blog post). But this is an extreme concern.

Is it the media we blame? I mean -- after all we have become accustomed to rigid and uniform standards of beauty through the media.

What about TV, billboards, and magazines? They show beautiful people all of the time; making exceptional good looks seem real...attainable.

It's funny--the standards of beauty seem to have become harder to attain. I say this especially for women. And what standards does this set for our young girls? (think about the Barbie)

In my opinion, women should accept their bodies. Don't set unrealistic standards by harming your self-image and your health. There are studies out there that show today's beauty standards can destroy a woman's self-esteem.

Let's not take it there. We're going to have to learn to LOVE ourselves. With this new found love, all of the misleading beauty standards will be defunct.

I did absolutely nada...

and it was good for me.

I mean, outside of the personal errands, I stayed home. I didn't even go to a movie.

So I wore this outfit Saturday to run a few errands...

On Sunday, my daughter and I had lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse. After lunch we went home. Again, another day relaxing at the home front.

OK, so... we both had gone to Shoeland last week and found these lovelies...

I tweeted about them last week as well. The shoes were only $28 (with tax). Not bad at all. I wore them all day today, and to my surprise, they were totally comfy!

My daughter bought the same shoes. This is how we wore them today...

She also has some black ones (Walkers) similar to the ones shown above, only she got those from her store--Baker's. They cost a bit more, however, since she's a Baker's employee she got a discount.

Feeling Biker(ish)...

The outfit shown is actually an outfit I wore on Thursday. Looking in the mirror at myself, I felt (sort of) like a biker girl.

The jacket I'm wearing was a gift to my daughter years ago. Well, the girl grew up & so did her limbs (mainly the arms). That meant she wasn't able to wear it any longer. It's mine now.

Then I was like...wait a minute! She also has a blog! Two of them to be exact. The one that

caught my attention was her Sweets Tooth Dessert blog. As I read through each post...I could hear

myself saying, "Mmmm" & "Yum". Here are just some of the goodies she baked...

Then I noticed she had another blog called Embracing The Real Me. This blog shows more of her stylish side. I love it! It's a fairly new blog; only a few months old...but I definitely can't wait to see what else she has under her sleeve.

Past Weekend Looks...

I've been slackin'. Last weekend I went to the movies to see In Time and this is what I wore...

It was actually a really good movie. Weird though...money didn't exist any longer. Time--time was the money.

I also went to The High Museum to see the exhibit From Picasso to Warhol. I had such an awesome time. See, I love art. I can't draw or paint worth a dime (my daughter can), but I can tell you about any artist & their work. I'm a huge fan of Van Gogh's work...as depressing as he was, he is by far one of the most talented artist ever.

Catching Up...

For the past few days, I've been catching up on all my TV shows (The Walking Dead, Nikita, Terra Nova), trying to finish a book (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), still celebrating my birthday, and maintain the norm.

I've been busy. It's crazy! However, I still managed to snap some pics through it all. I have lots to share with you but, instead of me adding them all on one post, I'll add them generously throughout the rest of the week.

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that I tweeted about some shoes I purchased a while back from Target. I received sooo many compliments on them. The best thing is ... they were only $5.99!

Not sure where the quote came from. I've always heard it said by others around me.

As we get older, we learn that even that one person who wasn't supposed to ever let you down... probably will. You'll have your heart broken more than once, and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so just remember how it felt when your heart was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old love did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. What do you do? Take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt, because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

I just wanted to thank all of you for the wonderful Birthday wishes. Neither of you were obligated in wishing me a Happy Birthday...but I truly appreciated it.
